Lisa Fuller joins AAL as new literary agent

Jan 23, 2024 | News & Articles

Alex Adsett Literary is thrilled to welcome the incredible Lisa Fuller to the team as an emerging literary agent. Thanks to the support of Creative Australia, Lisa will be spending a year being mentored by senior agent Alex Adsett on the ins and outs of working as a literary agent, and Lisa will be supporting Alex in managing her list of Childrens authors and reading submissions, before possibly building her own list in future.

Lisa Fuller is already well known to the publishing industry as a multi-award winner author of YA novel Ghost Bird, and an experienced editor with many years’ experience working with Magabala Press, Allen & Unwin, and many more. She is a Wuilli Wuilli woman from Eidsvold in Queensland, and is also descended from Wakka Wakka and Gooreng Gooreng peoples. Apart from Lisa being an eminently experienced and passionate member of the publishing community already, this move will make her the first Australian First Nations literary agent, and we are so excited she’s joining us.

Alex Adsett Literary now proudly boasts four literary agents – founder Alex Adsett, Rochelle Fernandez, Abigail Nathan and Lisa Fuller. Lisa can be contacted on Lisa@alexadsett.com.au, and submissions sent via Alex according to our submission guidelines [here].  Lisa is all about Own Voices works, YA, children’s literature and all things speculative fiction.
