Angela Meyer

Angela MeyerMelbourne-based writer, commissioning editor, professional reader, whisky-drinker.

Angela is the commissioning editor at Echo (an imprint of Bonnier Publishing Australia). She is behind the multi-award-winning Resurrection Bay by Emma Viskic, Skin Deep and Bad Blood by Gary Kemble, L.J.M. Owen’s Dr Pimms series, Ida by Alison Evans, The Hot Guy by Mel Campbell and Anthony Morris, and The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris, among many others.

Her debut novel, A Superior Spectre, is due out in 2018 with Peter Bishop Books (Ventura). She previously released a book of flash fiction, Captives (Inkerman & Blunt), and is the editor of an anthology of spooky Australian stories, The Great Unknown (Spineless Wonders).

Angela has reviewed for newspapers like the Australian, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Big Issue, and for journals and websites around the world. She blogged for three years on literature for Crikey. LiteraryMinded has been running since May 2007.

Angela holds a Doctor of Creative Arts within the Writing and Society Research Centre at the University of Western Sydney.
