After returning to the best hemisphere in the world, Alex was off again – this time to the Melbourne International Film Festival. Taking part in the MIFF 37 South program, Alex pitched AAPS books to multiple film producers and connected with professionals in the Australian film and television community.
After what felt like just one night’s refreshing sleep, she powered on to the Romance Writers of Australia conference back home in Brisbane. Alex had the chance to meet (and hear pitches from) many wonderful up-and-coming romance writers, speak on panels, and connect with the Aussie romance community. Alex is very proud to have bullied six other AAPS authors and industry professionals into dressing as a flock of flamingos at the RWA cocktail party – and prouder still to have won third prize in the costume competition.
